AI in Your Care

A plain-language explanation of how we use secure, HIPAA-compliant AI-assisted tools in your care, and what it means for you.

Why We're Sharing This

Technology in healthcare is changing quickly, and we want to be transparent about how it's used in your care. As part of our commitment to clear, plain-language communication — and in line with Texas requirements around disclosing AI use in clinical settings — here is a straightforward explanation of the AI-assisted tools we use and what they mean for you.

How We Use AI-Assisted Tools

Ambient Documentation

A secure AI assistant may help draft a summary of your visit notes as you talk with your provider. This lets your doctor focus on listening to you instead of typing, while still reviewing and finalizing every note personally.

Chart & Records Review

AI tools may help organize long medical histories, outside records, and lab trends so your provider can review them more efficiently — the AI highlights patterns, but never makes a diagnosis.

Billing Accuracy

AI may assist in checking medical billing codes for accuracy, which helps prevent unexpected bills or insurance claim denials.

Human Review, Always

AI never makes a final medical decision. Every note, diagnosis, and treatment plan is personally reviewed, edited, and approved by your doctor.

Your Privacy

  • All tools we use follow HIPAA privacy requirements — your information is encrypted and kept confidential.
  • Your information is never shared with public AI models and is never sold or used for advertising.
  • You may be asked to review a short consent form before a visit where these tools are used.

Choosing not to participate does not change your care. If you'd prefer your provider not use AI-assisted documentation during your visit, just let our staff know — your doctor will simply take notes the traditional way. You will receive the same attentive care and treatment options either way.
