Telehealth
Endocrinologist
See a board-certified endocrinologist from home, work, or anywhere in Texas β without the commute, wait, or time off work. Our virtual endocrinology appointments deliver the same expert care as in-person visits for most hormone and metabolic conditions. Same-week telehealth appointments are often available.
Telehealth at a Glance
The Benefits of a Virtual Endocrinology Visit
For many endocrinology concerns, a telehealth visit is just as effective as coming into the office β and considerably more convenient. Your doctor can review labs, interpret imaging results, discuss your symptoms in detail, adjust medications, and create a management plan entirely via video.
See Us From Anywhere
Whether you're in Houston, Victoria, Corpus Christi, or a rural community with no local endocrinologist β you get the same expert care via telehealth. No travel required.
No Waiting Room
Skip the commute and the waiting room. Virtual visits start on time and let you return to your day immediately after β from wherever you are.
Covered by Insurance
Telehealth endocrinology is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most commercial insurance plans. We verify your benefits before your visit. Self-pay rates also available.
Lab & CGM Review
We can review your recent bloodwork, A1C trends, CGM data downloads (Dexcom Clarity, LibreView, etc.), and imaging reports during your virtual visit β everything we'd do in person.
Prescription & Refills
Prescriptions, medication adjustments, prior authorization support, and specialist letters can all be handled via telehealth for established patients and many new patient visits.
En EspaΓ±ol
Spanish-speaking patients can request a Spanish-language telehealth appointment. Atendemos pacientes en espaΓ±ol β en persona y por telemedicina.
Conditions Treated via Virtual Endocrinology
Most endocrinology follow-up visits β and many new patient consultations β can be conducted entirely via telehealth. The following conditions are well-suited to virtual care. (Some new patients or those requiring in-office procedures may need at least one in-person visit.)
π When an In-Person Visit Is Needed
Some situations do require an in-person visit β including thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspiration biopsy, new adrenal mass evaluation requiring physical exam, and certain first-time evaluations where physical findings are essential. We'll let you know if an in-person visit is necessary after reviewing your history.

Join by Phone, Tablet, or Computer
You'll receive a secure video link before your appointment. No app download is required β the visit runs in your browser. A phone with a front camera works fine. We use HIPAA-compliant video technology.
Meet with Your Endocrinologist
Your appointment with a board-certified endocrinologist covers your symptoms, lab review, medication management, and any questions. You'll receive a visit summary and any new prescriptions electronically sent to your pharmacy.
Telehealth Endocrinology FAQ
Is telehealth endocrinology covered by my insurance?
Yes β most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare cover telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person visits. We verify your benefits before your appointment so there are no surprises.
Can I be a new patient via telehealth?
Yes, many new patients can be seen via telehealth β especially for thyroid conditions, diabetes management, hormone follow-up, and medication consultations. For some new patient evaluations requiring physical exam or in-office procedures, we may ask you to come in for at least your first visit.
I live outside Houston. Can I still see your endocrinologists?
Absolutely. We see telehealth patients from across the entire state of Texas. This is especially valuable for patients in areas with limited specialist access β South Texas, rural communities, smaller cities without local endocrinology practices.
What technology do I need?
Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet connection. We send a secure video link before your appointment β no app download, no account creation. It works on any modern web browser. If you have connection issues, a phone call backup is always available.
Can you manage my insulin pump or CGM via telehealth?
Yes. We can review your CGM data downloads (Dexcom Clarity, LibreView, Omnipod, Tandem, Medtronic) and make pump setting adjustments via telehealth. Share your device reports with us ahead of the visit for the most productive session.
